• KEREY KHAN
    Оne of the founders and first khan of the Kazakh Khanate. Kerey KHAN, Kiraly, Giray (year of birth unknown - around 1473/74), one of the founders and first khan of the Kazakh Khanate. Great-grandson of Urus Khan.

  • ZHANIBEK KHAN
    Kazakh Khan, one of the founders of the Kazakh Khanate and its ruler, presumably, in the years 1474-1480. Currently, there are two versions of the origin of the first dynasty of the Kazakh khans.

  • BURUNDUK KHAN
    Third Khan of the Kazakh Khanate, the ruler of the Kazakh Khanate presumably in the years 1480-1511, the son of Kerey Khan.

  • KASYM KHAN
    Kasym Khan, Kasym Beg was the leader of the Kazakh Khanate from about 1511 to 1523. He was the son of Jani Beg Khan who was one of the founding fathers of Kazakh Khanate by escaping with his confederacy to Moghulistan from the Uzbek chief Abul-Khayr Khan.

  • TAHIR KHAN
    Tahir khan was the sixth Kazakh khan. He governed after death Mamash khan (supposedly from 1521/1522 or 1523 to 1529/1531). He was the son of Adik sultan, the eldest brother of Kasym khan. A year of b Tahir khan could not suppress strife. His wars against the dynasty Shaybanids on Syrdarya also ended up with failure.

  • BUYDASH KHAN
    Khan's power passed to Buydash Khan after the death of his brother - Tahir Khan. In 1533, Khan became Moghulistan Abd ar-Rashid, who in alliance with Shaybanidami inflicted a decisive defeat on the Kazakhs.

  • AKNAZAR KHAN
    In the end of the 1550s Aknazar was proclaimed the Khan in compliance with ancient custom. White felt melt was carried in his yurt (traditional type of dwellings) and spread it on the ground; mullah read khotba (prayer). Four noble people hold four edges of the felt melt and lifted the new Khan up.

  • SHIGAI KHAN

    Yesim Khan statesman, military leader, legislator Khan. The son of Sultan Shygaya. One of the greatest political figures of the second half of the XVI and XVII centuries of the first half.

  • ZHANGIR KHAN
    Sulky Zhangir Khan - a prominent statesman and an outstanding leader. Succeeded by Yesim Khan's Khan's throne. During the life of courage Zhangir people nicknamed "Salko Zhәңgir" (impressive). As the historians to Zhangir were characterized by qualities such as determination, perseverance, endurance and willingness to sacrifice.

    In 1652 after the death of Jangir khan, the son of Khan Esim, the ruler of Jungars Batyr had strengthened the military pressure on Kazakh khanate. Eventually he dies in 1670. Kaldan Boshakty replaces him (1670-1699, in some sources 1670-1697) who was succeeded by Seban Rabtan (1699 - 1729).
